South School is in Pittsfield, Illinois. Pittsfield has the population of 4,600. It is a farming community in Pike County. Pike County is located between the Mississippi River and the Illinois River in western Illinois.  We have a superb group of teachers and wonderful community of volunteers that help the school in many ways. In August, 380 pre-kindergarten, kindergarten, first, and  second grade students will be attending South Elementary School.

2011-2012

 South School 
Thursday, August 25
(Pre-K-Friday, September 2)
Students new to South School must have:  

Affidavit of Residence
Copy of Certified Birth Certificate
Proof of Physical
Record of Immunization

All kindergarten students and students new to South School who are not in compliance with the state law will be excluded from school.
